About NAOMI

Naomi Martin is a passionate advocate who is guided by her unwavering sense of right and wrong. She approaches each case with compassion for those who were wronged and fervent determination to hold those who caused the harm accountable. Naomi is an instrumental part of the firm’s employment practice, representing clients who have been discriminated against or sexually harassed in the workplace and those who have been wrongly fired. In addition to her employment practice, Naomi represents families who have lost a loved one at the hands of government actors and with young survivors who have been sexually abused by someone in a position of authority. Naomi works in partnership with her clients as they journey down the path to achieve justice.

Prior to joining Storms Dworak, Naomi gained experience in persuasive advocacy while working as a law clerk, first at the Minnesota Court of Appeals and subsequently at the United States District Court, District of Minnesota. During her time as a clerk, Naomi developed an understanding of the judicial system’s approach to a case, and she now uses that understanding to guarantee the best outcome for each client.

Naomi brings a rare perspective to each case because of her experience serving as legal guardian for a relative. This taught her the importance of speaking out against institutional and systemic abuse of power. She has seen firsthand the difference fierce advocacy can make in the lives of those who are unfamiliar with the legal system. This is especially true for those who may deal with mental health challenges or those who are otherwise vulnerable to abuse.

Naomi graduated from law school with honors, earning the Order of the Coif distinction for graduating in the top 10% of her law school class from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law. She has been recognized for her intelligence and leadership by receiving numerous awards including a Civil Rights and Access to Justice Scholarship, a Provost Merit Scholarship, the Outstanding Graduating Student Award, the Public Good Distinction Award, a Scholarship Excellence Award, and three Outstanding Student Leadership Awards. Naomi excelled in her undergraduate studies as well, obtaining dual undergraduate degrees from the University of Minnesota Duluth in Psychology (magna cum laude) and Criminology (summa cum laude).

As a former Duluthian, Naomi enjoys returning to the North Shore often for work, to visit family, and to take in Lake Superior’s beauty.
