ROBBINSDALE OFFICER SHOOTS 18 YEAR OLD HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT

According to a news report by Minneapolis Fox 9, a Robbinsdale police officer shot an 18 year old female high school student after an “unwanted person” call was made. According to the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Department, Robbinsdale police arrived and found a woman with a knife. The sheriff said the woman was shot after refusing to comply with officer’s commands. The girl is currently in stable condition with two gunshot wounds to the abdomen. There are many scenarios where a shooting like this could be reasonable, but a shooting is not automatically reasonable just because a subject possessed a knife.
